PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Purpose: To provide educational resources, opportunities and experiences to further the understanding, protection and enjoyment of Ohio’s hidden wonders found in the precious seasonal wetlands we call Vernal Pools.
OHIO VERNAL POOL NETWORK PROGRAM
The program has been expanded to encourage and enable other environmental and outdoor educators to provide similar vernal pool education in their own communities throughout Ohio. We have refined our presentations with workshop participant feedback on the following topics:
Each PowerPoint presentation comes with a complete set of speaker notes. Additional resources and fact sheets are included. The program includes 20 copies of our updated 4th edition of the Ohio’s Hidden Wonders a field guide to Ohio’s vernal pools. Our education network affiliates will also receive marketing support through our website, newsletter and other means. While the core content of the education package are the presentations, a wealth of fact sheets (FS) and other resources are included for anyone to dive deeply into the topic.
The entire education package of workshop materials and marketing support includes 20 Ohio's Hidden Wonders books and digital files for a donation of $500. This cost is equal to the retail price of the books alone. Anyone interested in this program is invited to attend Vernal Poolooza March. Pre-order your vernal pool education package for pickup at the conference and save $25 shipping cost.
